Meet our Potbelly Pig: SOWphia Loren
|
Horses and Ponies
I have been riding and training horses for over 20 years. Some of my experiences with horses include western and english riding, dressage,
hunter jumper, cross-country jumping, reining, trail riding, driving, and mounted police work. Currently, my husband, children, and I mostly
trail riding at various places around the Midwest with our two American Quarter Horses. Laddie was born on Good Friday, March 25, 2005
out of our Mare, Dixie.
Potbelly Pig:
Sowphia is a wonderful pet. She loves her bed of blankets, warm baths, and human companionship. She is wonderful with our old
son and the two play together often. She gets along well with all of our animals. She is very curious and has learned to open cabinets,
doors, and the refrigerator. She is such a HAM! She comes when called by her name, and knows how to sit, down, bow, and spin on
command. She is s unbelievably smart and sweet! Please keep in mind...potbellies are not like dogs and require different care,
training, feed, and veterinary care than any other pet. They are considered an exotic and have special needs. If you are thinking of
purchasing one please buy from a reputable breeder and not an animal swap. I have many sites included on my favorites page for you
to locate more information and reputable breeders. Do your research first! Pet pigs are fun, but can be quite a HAMFULL!.

GT BAR BEAVER & HE'S A STYLISH LAD

Autumn is a Quarter Horse/ Arabian
cross. Under 4-H regulations, Autumn
is considered a large pony. In her
prime Autumn was a great kid's
pony.... I myself rode her in 4-H for 7
years in speed events such as barrel
racing, as well as jumping and
dressage all areas in which she
excelled. Now Autumn is 31 years old!
She is retired except for the
occasional "pony ride" that she gives
to my son.
Our son pictured here with his
buddy, Toby. Toby is our 11 year
old German Shorthaired Pointer.
He's a Stylish Lad
aka---"Laddie"
We have two ponies for
our children. The first
is a small halflinger
cross named Jake.
Jake rides and drives.
We enjoy driving him all
around the park and
lakes that we live near.
Our other pony is a
paint miniature horse
named Snickers. He
has been wonderful in
teaching our children
how to handle, walk,
bathe, and groom
horses since he is their
size.
Pygmy Goats
When my husband and I were first married we raised Nubian milking show goats. Now we just have a pair of pygmy goats for our
children. These "kids" are brother and sister and were born the summer of 2011. They are brother and sister. My children call them
"Tootsie" and "Bentley". They are like having two little dogs running around the barn!
